Can’t wait until June 8 for a dose of terrific and tantalizing tunes from GPP-certified talent? We have great news for you! Over the next couple of months, a host of gigs will feature none other than the Performers of GPPs Past. They’re kind of like the Ghost of Christmas Past, but with more spunk and better shoes.
And you can find ’em here:
April 3, 7 + 10: The Short Films set up at Imbibe, in downtown Kitchener, and the Jazz Room, in Uptown Waterloo, (full details here) for what will be some entrancing action. They drew such a crowd last year, they blocked Alexandra Ave. For 40 minutes. Brilliant.
April 5: Chris Malleck and Lauren Reedy — a.k.a. The Butcher’s Wife — head on down to Cafe Pyrus in Kitchener. They played their first ever public gig together on a GPP porch, and now they’re bringing the house down. Check ’em out!
May 2: Silvia Dee and Rob Deyman make up two-thirds of the Water Street Trio, and they’ll be playing the Lancaster Smokehouse. As if the Lanc’s goodies weren’t smoky enough already, they’ll certainly add some smoulder….
May 11 + 12: The beautiful Amy Carson Hunter comes back to town for a brief visit — and to play Cafe Pyrus, and Guelph’s Magnolia Cafe. Great to have you back, lass!
That’s just a wee sampling to whet your tastebuds for GPP 2014 — coming to you on Sunday, June 8 from 2pm to 5pm. Yeehaa!!
